However sophisticated the quality system, PMP recognises that good service and quality products come from trained and dedicated staff. To achieve this, the company follows the principles of the Investors in People standard.
Throughout the organisation PMP invest considerable time and money in training staff and ensuring they are highly motivated to meet the customers' requirements. Each operative is responsible for his or her own quality and feeds back ideas for continuous improvement.

Method Sheets and Production Control
Before the manufacture of every new component, a Bill of Material must be created. This Bill carries details of the job including a detailed Method Sheet, drawings and the raw materials required, all of which are held within the IQMS management system.
The Method Sheet then acts as the 'Traveller' to ensure not only that the product is made to specification but production details are recorded for future analysis.
Any improvements are updated on the master Bill of Materials ready for repeat orders. This is a continuous improvement system which benefits customers by lowering costs and improving quality.

The plastic injection moulding process requires strict operating control as follows:
- Polymers: Strict control on polymer supply with goods inward inspection and usage throughout the entire process for complete traceability recorded through the IQMS management system
- Computer controlled injection moulding machines
- In-Process measurement and process control
- Machine maintenance: Scheduled maintenance programme to ensure equipment is running at optimum performance
- Measurement and control at all stages of production
- TESA measurement system
- Statistical control systems analysis
